Terms and Conditions of Supply

In these Terms & Conditions of Supply: the ‘Company’ means Lightmaster (Direct) Ltd;  ‘Goods’ means any product supplied by the Company;  the ‘Customer’ means any person, firm or corporate body which has agreed to buy the Goods.

Prices & Quotations

Quoted prices are firm for a period of 90 days from date of quotation.   All quotations must be requoted after 90 days, otherwise goods will be charged at list price ruling at date of despatch.

Extras / Unquoted Items

Goods not covered by a formal quotation, or ‘extras’ relating to a current quotation, will be charged at list price ruling at date of despatch.


Order value up to £2,500 (excl VAT)……………………..payment in full with order.

Order value in excess of £2,500 (excl VAT)…………….60% deposit with order, balance due on delivery (must be cleared funds).

Goods will not be ordered or reserved until payment has been received in accordance with the above.

Payment by cheque, debit card or BACS transfer is preferred.    Payment by credit card will be accepted for order values up to £1,500 (inc VAT).  However, for orders in excess of £1,500 (inc VAT) there will be a 2% surcharge for payment by credit card.

Risk & Title

Risk of loss of Goods will pass to the Customer on delivery.  Title to the Goods will not pass to the Customer until payment has been received in full.  The Company reserves the right to repossess the Goods in the event of non-payment for whatever reason.


Regular customers (firms or corporate bodies only) may apply for a Trading Account by completing and returning an Account Application Form and supplying 1 bank and 2 trade references.  Trading Accounts, with specified credit limit, will be granted at the discretion of the Company and may be retracted at any time.

Delivery charges

Minimum carriage paid order within UK mainland is £500 nett (excl VAT);   for smaller orders there will be a delivery charge of £15.00 + VAT.  Carriage charges to destinations outside of UK mainland will be subject to special quotation.


Times and dates for delivery of goods are provided in good faith and are estimates only.  The Company undertakes to keep the Customer informed of any delays but will accept no responsibility for consequences arising from late delivery.

Loss or Damage in Transit

Claims for short delivery or damaged Goods must be made to the Company within 72 hours of receipt, quoting the Company’s delivery note number and date and the consignment note number of the carrier where applicable.


Goods will not be accepted for return without the written consent of the Company.  Where it is established that the reason for return was not due to any error on the part of the Company a handling charge of up to 25% may be deducted from any credit due.


The Company will refund or replace, at the Company’s discretion, any defective product which, under proper storage, installation and/or use, has become faulty within 12 months of delivery.  The Company does not accept liability for consequential loss resulting from such faulty goods.

Electrical Installation

The responsibility for correct installation and wiring lies with the Customer or his appointed contractor.  All fittings should be installed according to current regulations.

English Law

All contracts to which these Terms & Conditions of Sale apply will be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law.
