Lightmaster has spent many years developing relationships with key partners, both in the Cotswolds and down in the South West.
For several years now, Lightmaster has worked closely with Totnes based company, Carpenter Oak. Previous projects include West Yard Farm and the Spillane houses and we have more current projects nearing completion. We’ve even lit the Manning show house and their permanent show stand at The National Self Build & Renovation Centre! We’ve also re-vamped the lighting in their Totnes show-barn in the last few months – our bronze Darlek Spiral and Sasin spotlights now take pride of place in the main section of the barn, showing off the features highlight features stunning oak frame perfectly. Timber frame projects are notoriously tricky to light, which is why Carpenter Oak advises their customers to contact us for a lighting design.

More recently, we’ve been working on the lighting for a new Carpenter Oak project in Devon – not a full lighting design, but what we call a sales specification, where we went in and simply advised on what fittings might go where. This is usually a free service, depending on the size of the project as there’s no drawings involved. For this project, we suggested the use of our Sasin spotlight as the room had a vaulted ceiling with no void space for a recessed light. The Sasin is surface mounted, has an integral driver and at 9W, is bright enough to light a high ceilinged room, making it perfect for the project.
Our work is not just interiors of houses and commercial projects. We also have a superb range of garden lighting. We just did a beautiful garden in Somerset using a mixture of our own Lightmaster range as well as fittings from our Italian partner, Linea Light. No project is too small!
