Lightmaster Direct is based in the village of Blackwell, right on the edge of the Cotswold’s. From here we are able to take on work in Warwickshire, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. We also do a lot of work in Devon and the South West.

Our showroom has been designed to show off as many lighting features as possible using both discreet and decorative fittings. The showroom is split into several areas – it’s a working office as well as a lighting showroom.

When you enter through the customer entrance (Unit 17, Blackwell Business Park) you are immediately met by our exterior section. The terrace outside has some of our best selling in-ground path lights to lead you to the front door. Inside, we have a range of our spotlights and floor washers installed in our Cotswold’s inspired “garden”.

On the right is our Composite Corridor – composite lighting is so called as it’s integral and almost structural as the fittings are plastered into the walls with no joins visible. The majority of the fittings in this area are from an Italian company called Belfiore. This area of the showroom shows the ultimate is modern discreet lighting.

In the office part of the showroom, we have a bespoke Modular profile lighting one end of the Design office – it has both LED tape and adjustable “eyeball” downlights. We also have several iGuzzini Palco spotlights installed to highlight the photos of previous projects on the walls.
On the other side of the office, there are iGuzzini Blade wall washers highlighting the large world map on which we have labelled the locations of some of our favourite suppliers. There is also a sample of the Studio Italia Nostalgia pendant in the corner.

In the kitchen area of the showroom, we have adjustable downlights shining onto the cabinets. We also have a small shower area which has some colour changing uplights installed to highlight another effect. There are two open plan seating/meeting areas in the kitchen area, both with central pendants over the tables.

Our Home Cinema is the space we use the most to highlight different lighting effects. There are different textured walls which we both uplight and downlight to show wall-washing, grazing and scalloping effects. We have our bookcase which we have lit in several different ways to demonstrate the various options.

We also showcase our control systems in the Home Cinema – our favoured system, Philips Dynalite is installed with the sleek Antumbra display switch giving us over 100 options of lighting scenes. We use the Home Cinema for our Lightmaster team meetings as well as to host clients and visiting suppliers. The lighting scenes make the space very versatile for all kinds of meetings and events- we’ve even incorporated an automated projector and screen for presentations with a “theatre” light setting. We are the only partner of Philips in the Cotswold’s.
