With over a century of experience in the lighting industry, Lightmaster Direct has become an all-encompassing lighting design and supply company made up of a team of designers and engineers. We are experts in product supply, technical specification and creative lighting design, including systems architecture and control systems.
Design Process
Lightmaster’s owner Richard took on our first residential Lighting Design project in 2001 – the first full house project was done without any of the drawings we use today. Nowadays, our lighting designs wouldn’t be possible without having access to detailed architects drawings which the designers then digitise. Our Lighting specialists split the process into 7 stages.

Lightmaster Direct
Secialising in lighting and the control of light. We design our own product, distribute and procure product for client’s individual needs, designing bespoke products for difficult spaces, design lighting schemes for interior and exterior spaces for residential, commercial and historical buildings. We also design the system architecture for automating and simplifying complicating spaces, especially when combining natural and artificial light. We are specialists in light.

Sharing a core passion for lighting design, our in-house team of designers understand the importance of creating beautifully lit spaces. Through our 4 stages of design from concept to completion, our designers are able to offer comprehensive support through the process of lighting design.

Our procurement experts share a passion for innovative lighting creations. We have consolidated our favourite products into our top 100 which incorporates our discreet, composite and decorative ranges for interior and exterior environments. Through our standard and designer ranges, we like to think that we can offer something for everyone.
Lightmaster Group
Since 1998 we have come across many great partners, sharing the same passion as we do. They are Specifiers (Architects, M&E consultants and designers) Suppliers for lighting and controls from across the world Trades like builders and installers. We also have Lightcentres who specialise in lighting like we do.
